Identify the product
State the product category, required standard and edition, steel grade and manufacturing process where specified. Include outside diameter, wall thickness, length and units. If using a nominal designation or schedule, give the complete designation and attach the project material list.
Define quantities and requirements
Distinguish pieces, metres and tonnes, and state any quantity tolerances. Add surface condition, end preparation, coatings and required documents. Highlight project specifications and ask for proposed alternatives or deviations to be listed separately in the quotation before ordering.
Make delivery requirements clear
Provide the destination, requested date, whether partial deliveries are acceptable and any unloading constraints. Compare price alongside confirmed availability, documentation, transport conditions and quotation validity. Keep one controlled revision of the enquiry so every supplier works from the same information.
